Dr. Steven Eisenberg, MD

Dr. Eisenberg was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. After graduating from The George Washington University he attended The Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he earned his MD degree in 1992. His training in Internal Medicine was also done at New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital. He moved to Atlanta in 1992 where he completed his Cardiology fellowship at Emory University in 1996, at which time he joined Cardiovascular Specialists.

He has a clinical interest in preventive cardiology, lipid disorders and cardiac imaging, including state of the art high-resolution cardiac CT scanning and cardiac catheterization. He is Director of Nuclear Cardiology at our imaging center. He has served as principal investigator in numerous clinical trials and is the founder and Director of The Atlanta Heart and Vascular Research Group. He is Chief of Cardiology at St. Joseph’s Hospital and serves on the Heart and Vascular Institute Board of Trustees. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Steve is married and has two children (Allyson and Scott) who attend school at the Davis Academy. He enjoys spending time at Lake Oconee with his family and remains a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees.
